The Mica Energies Corporation was founded to take advantage of a sustainable, untapped energy source, freely floating around each of us, every day. With the rapid growth of the Wireless Communications Industry, and the 5G ‘arms race’ between carriers, unprecedented growth in the volume of Ambient Radio Frequency Energy is being seen. We at Mica Energies are developing a process based on our patent pending technology & IP to harvest that ambient energy, for industrial and personal applications. In doing this, we will address a wireless charging market that is expected to reach over $19 billion by 2028.

To provide a solution, Mica Energies is developing a “Far-Field Communications (FFC)” approach to extracting RF energy from the surrounding environment. From observations, our competitors are proposing “solutions” using “Near-Field Communications (NFC)” that can recharge the battery yet requires immobile positioning for lengthy periods of time, effectively negating the intended mobility of the device, and mandates the purchase of emitter devices to place additional energy into the environment for NFC RF harvesting. By utilizing FFC, we are proposing two effective solutions that return full mobility to the device subscriber. Mica Energies technology will harvest RF energy from various sources within the environment (especially cell towers operated by wireless carriers) and trickle charge the device battery on a basis simulating the device being plugged into a power source.
A carefully selected group of Scientists and Engineers who are highly experienced in RF Harvesting has been assembled to solve the challenges in bringing our far-field wireless charging technology to market.
They understand why others have failed in this attempt and understand the path to achieve a commercially viable approach for Mica Energies.
Complementing this is a team of seasoned Executives, Board of Advisors, Sales and Marketing people.
Our far-field wireless technology will be delivered through the Mica Chip™.
Our initial focus will be on further developing and licensing the technology to cell phone manufacturers (OEMs), and licensing technology for automatic charging cell phone cases.
Later, we will address the EV market, residential uninterrupted power supply (UPS) and other ioT devices.
The objective of the Mica Chip™ is to demonstrate that sufficient energy can be harvested from ambient radiation to provide a charge to an external device with a minimum voltage level of 4.7 volts.
The charge time will depend on the amount of ambient radiation, the losses in the circuit, and the charge capacity of the device being charged.
Mica Energies addresses the issue of a device battery that drains to the point of either shutdown or recharge by the subscriber/owner. Sold as a device of “mobility”, during periods of recharge, this mobility is lost (not available).
The subscriber/owner might have access to power to plug in the device, but in many cases external power access is not available.
Depending upon how the device is being used, a shutdown might be just an inconvenience up to a matter of extreme personal safety or business loss.
Anytime the phone cannot be used to summon help, regardless of location, then a drained battery is of paramount importance.
By applying power harvesting technologies, devices and equipment can become self-sustaining with respect to the energy required for operation, thereby obtaining an unlimited operating lifespan.
History has proven that scientific, academic achievement and progress is always contested especially when the current system of science or academics is challenged with competition, replacement or extinction.

Mica Energies will offer a high-performance antenna (Trade Secret) and rectifying circuit that will support radio frequencies (RF) from multiple sources.
Our patent-pending technology will maximize the RF energy received through our RF to DC conversion circuit.
We will provide true wireless recharging of rechargeable batteries without distance limitations or need of a terminal / receiver in close proximity to the targeted device (mobile phone, tablet, etc.).
We will enable efficient wireless charging over vast distances.

Several firms have presented prototypes based upon extraction of energy using Near-Field Charging (Transmitters) yet none have delivered a commercialized product that can be utilized in an open environment to support mobility in smartphones. Mica Energies believes that Far-Field Charging is the solution that will be able to re-charge batteries of Smartphones & IoT's from energy sources at much greater distances, not hindered by constraints of proximity and line-of-sight at certain angles, nor the additional output of energy just to harvest it. The Mica Chip™ is intended to utilize existing energy and does not require additional energy to be broadcast via emitters or other devices.
